Beauty at the Bottom Gallery
58 images Created 10 Aug 2009
"Beauty at the Bottom" These images are photographs of wine, beer, and tequila bottles, shot right down the mouth of the bottle.
When people view these images, they either know exactly what it is and smile big, or they ask "what is that?" If you need a little help, think of the view your tonsils would get if you took a big swig straight out of your favorite wine bottle while watching television. Still confused? What you are looking at is wine, beer or alcohol bottles tilted on their sides with a little of the beverage still in it. The camera lens is small and is looking right down inside the mouth of the bottle. A television, computer monitor, or other colorful items behind the bottle provides the main light source, creating a magical colorful kaleidoscope like view of a magical beverage. (And no, the colors were not "photochopped" to look like that, many of these images were photographed on 35mm slide film.)
Large limited edition 30"x40" fine art prints produced by Scott in his studio are available. Gift items, greeting cards, and stock usage are available as well.
Scott Thompson is not responsible for wine being spilled in your eye or on your camera while trying to recreate these images.
